EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE CATHODE SPOT PARAMETERS IN A MAGNETICALLY DRIVEN ARC
DOI: 10.1615/ITPPC-2002.240
pages 203-209
Résumé
Copper cathode spot parameters in magnetically driven arc have been measured as function of the magnetic field by using thermal methods. We found that the arc spot current density grows nonlinearly and the volt-equivalent - linearly with magnetic field. By using these results a recently published erosion model has been validated. This work can be used for better calculations of cold electrode erosion.
