Electrical conductivity of molten cobalt dichloride-potassium chloride mixtures

Résumé

Electrical conductivity of twelve C0CI2-KCI molten mixtures has been determined as a function of temperature in the range of composition from 20 to 100 mol% C0CI2. Results are well-fitted in the form of an Arrhenius-type equation in the range from the liquidus temperature to about 200 K above. Conductivity isotherms as well as activation energy for conduction are interpreted in terms of complex formation in the molten cobalt dichloride-potassium chloride system.
