Notices MARC

MARC record is the acronym for MAchine-Readable Cataloging standard. The standard defines digital formats for the description of bibliographic items developed by the US Library of Congress. The MARC records are standards for the representation and communication of bibliographic and related information in machine-readable form. Perhaps their most common use is to create Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) displays, although they have been used to print catalogue cards, produce fiche catalogues, etc.

Begell House MARC records can be downloaded free of charge directly from the Begell House web site (see the links below). Records are available as a single .mrc file per titles for all Begell House journals, e-books and reference works. Single-title MARC Records are available on the home page of a selected title.
