This movie shows that the process of interaction of streaky structures with the plane initiated by the gas outflow from the classical nozzle with the "top-hat" mean velocity profile at the nozzle exit leads to the appearance of Λ- or Ω-like vortices. Due to the non-closure of two thin shear layers (i.e., the layers that developed independently of each other), the generation and evolution of Λ- or Ω-like vortices can take place on each side of the jet independently. In the case of the forced generation of streaky structures using the roughness elements located on one side of the nozzle, the shear layer interaction with these streaky structures leads to the appearance of Λ- or Ω-like vortices on this shear layer
