The Impact Factor measures the average number of citations received in a particular year by papers published in the journal during the two preceding years. 2017 Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics, 2018) IF: 1.3 To calculate the five year Impact Factor, citations are counted in 2017 to the previous five years and divided by the source items published in the previous five years. 2017 Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics, 2018) 5-Year IF: 2.6 The Eigenfactor score, developed by Jevin West and Carl Bergstrom at the University of Washington, is a rating of the total importance of a scientific journal. Journals are rated according to the number of incoming citations, with citations from highly ranked journals weighted to make a larger contribution to the eigenfactor than those from poorly ranked journals. Eigenfactor: 0.00079 The Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) is a single measurement of the field-normalized citation impact of journals in the Web of Science Core Collection across disciplines. The key words here are that the metric is normalized and cross-disciplinary. JCI: 0.24 SJR: 0.429 SNIP: 0.287 CiteScore™:: 2.7 H-Index: 81

Aims and Scope

Immunology covers a broad spectrum of investigations at the genomic, molecular, cellular, organ, and system levels to reveal defense mechanisms against pathogens as well as protection against tumors and autoimmune diseases. Recent advances in immunology make this field one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing medical sciences.

Until recently Critical ReviewsTM in Immunology (CRI) was an invitation-only journal focusing on publishing review articles. However, based on the recommendations of the editorial board our journal has now expanded its scope to open submission for all types of high-quality and original articles investigating adaptive and innate immune responses related to autoimmunity, tumor, microbe, transplantation, neuroimmunology, immune regulation, and immunotherapy from basic to translational aspects in health and disease. The article types CRI will consider publishing include:

Research Articles: These can be full-length or cutting-edge research articles.
Review Articles: The journal publishes critical and timely review articles on various aspects of contemporary immunology, and it is hoped that the articles will provide a critical analysis rather than a passive account of information on a given topic.
Opinions/Hypotheses: These are proposed concepts/hypotheses based on sound experimental data available in the scientific literature or based on the author's outline of work that could be tested experimentally. Opinions and hypotheses are subject to the usual peer review process.
Letters to the Editor: These could be responses to hypotheses, clarifications, viewpoints, and other matters that will encourage discussion. It is an open forum. The letters, however, should be scholarly, without personal attacks or abusive language. Letters to the editor will be peer-reviewed.
News and Comments: These include essential news items such as significant breakthroughs and new discoveries in immunology and even other biological sciences that might impact the field of immunology. Summaries of national and international meetings are also appropriate news items. News and comments will also be peer-reviewed.
Book Reviews and Books Received: Authors and publishers of immunology books are invited to submit their books for review and evaluation by the journal. Usually, one or two reviews can be assigned to a given issue. However, as a service to the scientific community, all books that are received will be listed.
Calendar of Events: As a service to the scientific community, the journal will list titles and dates of immunology meetings up to one year in advance. Organizers of future meetings are encouraged to submit the title, date, location, and name/address/telephone numbers of the persons to contact for further information. There will be no charge for this service.
Job Advertisements: Organizations who are interested to post job openings are welcomed to submit their requests to the journal.

We hope that with all the changes which have been implemented to the journal the authors will have ample opportunities to submit high quality news, commentaries and original articles either as an open access or traditional subscription base which will allow timely dissemination of knowledge in Immunology.
