要約

The electrohydrodynamic (EHD) method of condensation enhancement has been presented in the paper. This method is suitable for dielectric media such as refrigerants used in refrigeration and heat pump devices. In the presented method the finned tube is equipped with an electrode placed beneath the very bottom of it. The experimental investigations has been performed for this tube-electrode system using HCFC-123 as a working medium. The results confirmed the theoretical expectations since the application of EHD method for investigated tube-electrode system increased significantly the heat transfer coefficient up to 110%, depending on the tube and electrode geometry, electrode potential as well as condensate flow pattern.
