要約

The thermodynamic behaviour of ions in low density fluids (i.e. vapours) is very valuable information although not easily obtained. Experimental results are difficult to get, furthermore theoretical and simulation studies of these systems are not free from complications. We have approached the description of the solvation of ions by vapours by studying binary ionic aqueous clusters by Molecular Dynamics. The first results are presented here and some interesting features are noted, e.g. strong shielding of interionic interactions, lack of precisely defined solvation sheaths; results also suggest the existence of microheterogeneity. The advantages and disadvantages of clusters to account for solvation in vapours are also discussed.
