要約

This paper is an overview of the authors current research into the concept of designer style, the conclusions of the research will be discussed in relation to appropriate interaction design criteria between the individual designer and Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems. The applied use of immersive and non-immersive, Real-Time 3 Dimensional (RT3D) techniques during the design process will be discussed with an emphasis on the use of such techniques during the early stages of the design process. We will consider the 'journey' of 'live' 3D concepts created at the sketch stage through concept analysis to production, a recent Industrial design project will act as a vehicle for this examination. Conclusions, implications and areas of further study will then be presented.
