要約

In the design of a regenerator used in Stirling engine or pulse tube refrigerator, the data of pressure drop is of crucial importance. The purpose of the present work is to experimentally determine pressure drops across a tube stacked with stainless steel wire screen subjected to an oscillating flow under different frequencies. The major findings are: (1) In the same Reynolds number range, the transient friction factor is larger than that of steady flow under the same Reynolds number and the slope of f~Re curve of the steady flow is less than that of the oscillating flow; (2) The increase of the frequency leads to the increase in the transient friction factor at the same transient Reynolds number. The test parameter ranges are: frequency from 1.67-15Hz, transient Reynolds number from 1.0 to 40, and the porosity ε is 0.706 and 0.76.
