要約

Numerical simulations were carried out for the liquid phase electroepitaxial (LPEE) growth process of ternary alloy GalnAs under external magnetic field. The governing field equations together with appropriate interface and boundary conditions are solved numerically by the Finite Element Method for the growth cell configuration to be used in our laboratory. Results show the feasibility of suppressing the natural convection in the solution by the application of an external magnetic field. A field of 20 kGauss is sufficient to reduce the effect of gravity significantly.
