要約

The removal of liquids from solid is one of the largest consumers of energy in industry. In order to improve process performance and energy utilization, new technologies such as fluidized bed drying has been applied. A drying model is proposed which may be used to describe drying behavior of material. The model is based on the "Two fluid model" which has an Eularian view to the problem. The solid and the gas are considered as the two separate fluid, and the governing equations are applied on them in two-dimensional axisymmetrical cylindrical coordinates. The predicted drying curves such as the temperature and moisture distribution compare favorably with experimental results.
