要約

The rates and locations of emission, the rates of diffusion and dispersion, the speed of physical transformation and reaction, and the processes governing deposition of aromatic Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) primarily from vehicle emissions are all factors which affect their distribution, factors which are themselves heavily dependent on meteorological variations. Analysis of traffic generated pollutants has been performed at one busy street in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northeast England. Data interpretation is being aided by the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modelling for this particular scenario, where a time based model has been used to explore the dispersion of several key traffic pollutants. The modeled results have been compared to measured pollutant concentrations.
