This movie shows the flow behavior around a hydrofoil. A negative pressure generated over the hydrofoil causes large deformation of the free surface and the entrainment phenomena. The shear flow behind the hydrofoil induces instability similar to the Kelvin–Helmholtz instability and results in liquid bubble formation
