Resumo

A new equation of state of compressed water was correlated for industrial use based on the specific volume and enthalpy values of the International Skeleton Tables(l985), IST-85, in the range of temperatures from 213.15 K to 623.15 K and pressures from vapor pressure to 100 MPa. Calculation time for a new industrial formulation of water substance is required to be faster than that for the IFC Formulation for Industrial Use(l967), IFC-67. In the present formulation a polynomial function and a square root function were used for shortening the computing time.
