Resumo
Experimental study on the rates of evaporation of an aqueous sodium chloride- and potassium chloride solution drop into dry air were carried out. Simultaneous measurements of temperatures and weights of an evaporating pendant drop into dry air were made for wide ranges of air flow rates, ambient air temperatures and initial salt concentrations. The dimensionless diffusion fluxes of water vapor were affected by the depression of vapor pressures and the decrease in effective interfacial area caused by crystal growth of salt. A new simulation method for evaporation of an aqueous salt-solution drop into dry air during crystallization of salt was proposed and their results were compared with the observed data.
