Resumo
An analytical solution is presented to the problem of reflux condensation in two-phase closed thermosyphons, which leads to an expression for the average condensation heat transfer coefficient for all regimes of vapour and liquid flows inside the thermosyphon.
Dealing with different cross-sectional thermosyphons, this study indicates the characteristics of the condesate film and the effect of the vapour shear stress on it, especially in small cross-sectional pipes. Comparison with Nusselt's solution and other previous studies is made.
