Resumo
The objective of the CISAL research project is to provide the designer with a new computer tool for interactive product and assembly line design. The software under development will present the great advantage of being applicable to multi-variant products, leading to a unique assembly line for assembling all variants. It is subdivided into three main modules, with possible feedback between these: product analysis, operating modes and assembly techniques, and line layout. In this paper, we present the framework of the project and part of the Man Machine Interface (MMI) of the software to illustrate the methodology.
