Resumo

Based on an effective energy conversion method between flowing gas enthalpy and thermal radiation, a new type of gas-to-gas heat exchanger has been developed by Echgo et al. In this study, in an attempt to improve the heat exchanger efficiency and at the same time to insulate the system effectively, an advanced type of the heat exchanger with a porous heat recovery section is proposed. Effects of principal parameters on its heat transfer characteristics are investigated analytically and experimentally.
