Resumo
Universal MMI systems (Man-Machine-Interface) are increasingly used for the effective monitoring of assembly systems. Today many different systems are on the market. Mostly such systems don't have any special support-functions for operating and observing assembly systems. For that reason, the adaption of the MMI Software requires a great expenditure.
The research project "Feature-Oriented Programming of MMI System Application Software for Small-and Medium-Sized Assembly Systems" concentrates on the design of methods and algorithms for efficient compilation of application software used in this kind of system. The selected approach consists of two levels.
The aim of the first level is to generate application software independent from the system by minimizing manual editing. Therefore the software-tool FEOPAS analyses planning information (assembly-process-, assembly-system-description). It generates an application-structure and defines special operating and visualizing features. By that, the developer can make manual corrections if necessary. Afterwards FEOPAS creates the MMI system-independent application software.
Adaptation to specific MMI systems is achieved by a software post-processor in the second level.
