Resumo

Common ground triple wire probe was fabricated and the experiment for measuring velocity with it was carried out. Common ground triple wire probe has four prongs, the center prong among which is shared as common. It can be made easily and has small control volume compared with the other existing triple wire probes. Electrical problems caused, by common ground was solved by both minimizing the resistance of the common ground prong and floating the ground of each anemometer. The calibration method independent of the prong geometry was used. The calibration result of common ground triple wire was compared with that of DANTEC probe and the error bound of the two probes was within a reasonable range.
