Аннотация

The feasibility of municipal solid wastes (MSW) incineration in China is examined, and the solutions to the two main problems faced with incineration treatment are analyzed. The main work is on the study of HCL dry removal from incineration flue gases. By investigating the ultimate conversions of several absorbents and analyzing the effect of stoichiometric rate of absorbent to HCL on the dry removal efficiency in a fix-bed reactor, we have found that Ca(OH)2 and Calcium Carbide Residue (CCR) are two effective absorbents. The comparison of our data with the results of others' from a gas-solid two-phase flow reactor proves that the fix-bed reactor with a hollow tower velocity of 0.56m/s and HCL reaction time of 0.001s can have the same removal effect as gas-solid two-phase flow reactors with gas speed higher than 17m/s. A random pore model proposed by Bhatia and Perlmutter is used to explain our experimental findings and agreement is found between the model calculations and our data.
