Аннотация

Short range shop floor control is dependent on up-to-date information from the shop floor. In order to gain a detailed picture of the shop floor situation, a great effort is required in collecting this information. This is a result of the complexity of the shop floor system. The system elements such as machines, tools, fixtures etc. constantly change their state and their relationships to each other. The collection of all relevant events not only causes a great effort, it also requires a large investment in hard- and software components for data collection. But even if the technical prerequisites are given, incorrect or incomplete information can occur because of missing data collection discipline [1], [2]. In this paper, a system will be presented which guarantees that collected data is correct, complete, up-to-date and that the data collection is economic.
