ON THE FORMATION OF LARGE-SCALE STRUCTURES UNDER THE INTERACTION OF THE ION AND ELECTRON BEAMS WITH THE SURFACE OF MOLTEN METAL

Abstract
It is shown that the interaction of the high-power ion-plasma flows and electron beams with the surface of molten metal can result in the formation of large-scale (about lmm) structures of the surface relief. Having taken into account the surface thermocapillary forces in a rotating heated liquid, the formation mechanism of these
structures is considered.
