POLLUTED GASES TREATMENT IN A CORONA DISCHARGE PLASMA REACTOR
DOI: 10.1615/ITPPC-1998.1120
pages 759-764
Résumé
In our conditions, the treatment and control of CO2 dissociation is facilitated by choosing a grounded electrode of metal grid structure in graphite, or SiC. A D.C. corona discharge, applied to pure C02 gas, has been tested. The treatment efficiency was characterized through velocity measurements (L.D.A.), gas residence time calculation, recycling rate and mass spectrometry analysis. Simultaneous modeling was performed with the Fluent® code to help in understanding the process, and in localizing the different chemical reactions in the discharge area.
