Résumé
This paper summarises all processes and results of the study with particular emphasis on the following points: (a) DSM potential, and the specific aspects of the Philippine context that constrain or define this potential in ways that are significantly different from elsewhere; (b) Comparison of the conventional supply-side capacity expansion plan (ie, pre-IRP) with that produced from the IRP process; (c) Integration of minimum emissions as a criterion in the power development planning process and methodology; (d) Lessons learned and modifications deemed to be necessary in transferring DSM and IRP procedures to the Philippines. The implications of the findings in each of these areas in the Philippines for other Asian nations will be included.
