Resumo
Ever since the introduction of aircraft gas turbine engine, jet fuel is becoming the heat transfer fluid of choice for aircraft thermal management for cooling various components and other accessories such as oil and engine electronics control. Current military fighter aircraft systems as well as some commercial aircraft already often stress fuels to their stability limits, while advanced fighter systems are expected to place even higher heat loads on fuels. This paper describes some of the issues which must be considered as fuel pumping system technology moves into the next generation.
